Relaxation is an important part of your yoga practice. There is an asana specifically meant for relaxation. It’s called corpse pose or savasana.
You should practice savasana after every yoga practice for relaxation for the whole body. By practicing savasana, you’ll speed up the benefits released by each asana.
How To Practice Relaxation in Savasana
Lie on your back. If your lower back feels pain or discomfort, place a pillow under your knees. If you are cold, do not hesitate to put a blanket over your body.
- Close your eyes and completely relax your body.
- Let your feet turn outwards and your hands relax beside your body.
- Breath long and deep. Calm your mind. Relax.
